-LJA.I.&II. The fire at Gutlirie and Larnach's mill broke out at two o'clock yesterday morning. It is supposed to be purely accidental, caused by a spark from the chimney. About 150,000 feet of sawn timber, which was stacked near, was also destroyed. The mill was insured for eleven hundred in the South British. The timber was uninsured. It is estimated the loss is two or three thousand in excess of the insurance.

She is ill from the shock, but it was hoped nofe Beriously. Yesterday. At the Grammar School Enquiry, evidence was taken in favour of Mcßae from several pupils of the old High School. Forty pupils of the High and Grammar Schools are summoned for to-morrow in favor of Mcßae.

The Waitangi meeting still continues. They opened the ball for the Native Minister, but would not unveil the monument.
