CHRISTCHURCH.

This day. A remarkable robbery occurred at the Terminus Hotel on Tuesday night, and some time before 9 o'clock. The waiter's room, which is just off the main entrance opposite the Kailway Station, was entered into, and a sma'l safe containing £87 and valuable documents was carried off bodily. How this was done is a mystery and the police so far have kept the matter so quiet that it only came out late last night. At the inquest on the body of the child killed by a train car the medical evidence showed that the skull was fractured which caused death by pressure of blood on the brain. A verdict was returned of Accidental Death.
