KURANUI HILL.
The manager's report says :—Teutonic section : Two men are rising on the right hand side of Barry's lode, which-is still of good size, being one to two feet wide. I see no gold in it, but it is changing from blue to brown, and we shall have an improvement in value towards the surface. All Nations and Junction surface; The small veins in this division show no change, and give a few nice specimens every time we break down. Poverty: On Friday, 141bs of fair specimens were got, and the general stuff shows' gold freely enough. Next crushing will give a good yield. Belfast: The trial of four tons from the large lode gave 32dwts melted gold. This is very encouraging. lam making arrangements for giving it a thorough trial on a larger scale, and nearer the surface. The indications for gold are here so strong and in such abundance that I feel a conviction we shall have something valuable.
