The Confederate Diorama.

Notwithstanding the counter attractions, the initial representation of the Confedeiate Diorama at the Theatre Eoyal last evening attracted a large attendance. The views were good, and the mechanical effects exceedingly realistic, while the descriptive lecture, by Lieut. Herman, is both instructive and amusing. The same gentleman presents one of the most unique aud laughable venlriloquial entertainments ever seen. With his half dozen comical lay figures he carries on a conversation, interspersed with songs, etc., for about half an boor. At the conclusion a grand distribution of gifts took place, Mr P. Hennessy being the lucky winner of the drawing room suite of furniture, and Mr Fisher taking the electro-plated tea and coffee service; The prizes given away were of a most superior class, and gave the greatest satisfaction.
