COROMANDEL.
(EBOM COERKSPONDENTS.) This day. The Missing Maa at Coromandel. Not the slightest; trace has yet been ; discovered of the missing man, though; there are upwards of one hundred men out night and day. A number of cases were disposed of today by the E.M., Mr Kenrick; one particularly where the result rested on a musical box, which was started by the defendant, and kept playing, to the amusement of the Court and the annoyance of theE.M. Mr Kenrick left to-day, accompanied by the County Chairman and Councillor Luks. The latter go to meet Mr Eolleston, the Minister of Mines. Owing to theE.M. and Chairman to the County Council leaving, the licensing bench has-been reduced to two, therefore those persons who. have applied, for transfers and new licenses on the Tiki goldfield are l«ft in the lurch, as no quorum can be found, three being necessary to compose it. The public generally condemn this course, and advise that Dr Hovell, who is always found, should be appointed, and a petition to that effect is now being got up. The Just-In-Time Claim is stated to ha^e been bought by Capt. Praser with v view to annex it to the lona Company, and then to form a large company. The price paid was eighteen hundred pounds. From Blackmore's claim on the Tiki, some very rich gold was obtained yesterday from a new leader. McLeod's claim is sending forth good stone, but the shareholders in Auckland do not pay up, hence the impossibility of working the ground with any satisfaction. It is likely a company will be formed by the local shareholders if nothing is done by the original owners.
