REUBEN PARR.

The Riound in the drive has been very tight during the last week. The contractors have driven 25 feet durii.g the fortnight, but there is a considerable improvement in the class of country since Monday. They finished their contract on Saturday, fnd the manager purposes taking out a trie! crushing, and will report on the drive as soon as Mr Bayldon completes the plan. He bel'eves another 100 feet will reach the winze, and recommends starting a cross-cut through the Union section, when both drives could be going at the same time. At the present time they could be driven cheaply by contract, and would prospect a good run' of country and virgin ground.
