Melbottkne, This day. In the Legislative Assembly last night the consideration of the Reform Bill in committee of the whole was resumed. Members of the Opposition abstained from discussion, and the various clauses of the measure were passed by the committee. The bill was reported to the House, and the third reading is fixed for Tuesday next. Sydney, This day. Lestrange, the aernoaut, made an ascent from the domain last night, and in descending his balloon came on to the top of a house in Wooloomooloo. The roof gave way, and the balloon was torn, and
the escaping gas communicated with, the lights in the house, and an explosion was the consequence, the balloon being completely destroyed, but no serious damage was done to the house or the other premises adjoining, and Lestrange escaped without injury. There was a large crowd in the street witnessing the descent of the balloon, and when the explosion occurred a panic ensued, and in the crush and confusion several persons were slightly injured. ■
