OAMARU.
This day. | The Governor arrived yesterday, and after inspecting the harbor works and the grain stores was entertained at a luncheon. He expressed himself highly pleased with the harbor works. The Premier replying to the toast of the Parliament said among other things, that proper facilities for shipping produce will be the turning point on the practicability of the competition with America, and that New Zealand farmers must see that they had these facilities.
