THE TIKI.

The Maoris are driving on their reef in the bottom level. The lode continues to look well, and gold is seen occasionally in the stone. One full share in this mine has been sold to Mr Lynch for £40. On Thursday morning the Maoris struck gold right on the cap of the reef, and have taken out some good specimen stone. The Maoris broke out richer stone yesterday from their reef than has yet been obtained. Mr Dunster, who has bought into their claim, brought the stone into the township yesterday. Gbaham's prospecting party have come on loose stone of a rich character as far as crushing test proves its value. The ground has been taken up, and a prospecting drive started at once to cut the leader which has shed the quartz picked up on the surface.

Vizabd's.—A tramway has been laid down the whole length of the tunnel, which will greatly facilitate the working of the mine. Experienced miners who have visited the claim are of opinion that the reef from which the rich crushing was taken will be one of the best on the field.

Walker's Lease.—On this^ property, adjoining Tiernan's, Yon der Speck, the 'well know Coromandel prospector, is busily engaged surfacing with the view of discovering the caps of some of the rich reefs bearing through the mine from Tiernan's.
