Certificate. Sandhurst, the Ist of March, 1878.
I have been investigating Meesrs Sander and Sons' Eucalypti Extract since its discovery, and I have to a';tnit that there ia besides it no medicament I know of, of such universal effect on the human system. I observed in the first instance that it checks completely all inflammations of whatever kind—inflammation of the chpst, lungs, all throat, affections, such as bronchitis, and diptheria. It alleviates and oures all pains of rheumatic nature, neuralgia, &c, I have used it with unparalleled success in swellingp, bruises, sprainß, wounds of all kinds, and of most serious nature, as wrll as in ail disorders of the bowels, diarrhoaa, &c. lam tully convinced that the invention of that, medicament will meet with the greatest est.i* mati<<D, and I gladly acknowledge its merits lor the benefit of the puc lie,—John Ckuickshank, M.D., L.U.C.S.E., Health Officer. 2nd March, 1878. 1 certify to the seal of the Council of the City of b'andhurst being affixed to this document, D. Maodougall, 'lown Clerk. Statutory Declaration. I, Franz R.nabe, of Ironbark, Sandhurst, in the Colony of Victoria, Australia, do solemnly and sincerely declare, that guided by the desire that ail who may become afflicted as I was may be enabled to take advantage of my publication, I make the following declaration : On the 25th June, 1877, my sou Alfred, six years of age, was accidentally hurt with an axe on the knee. lat once look all pains to procure medical assistance, by calling at first on Dr Austin, who was subsequently assisted by Drs Penfold and Mac^illivray. However, in spite of all the combined efforts of the said gentlemen, the malady took such a bad turn that the patient was lying in uninterrupted wound-fever, and on the 17th Au^mt, 1877, the opinion was given by i)r Macgillivray, that an amputation of the injurud liinD had become imperative, in order to save life. A'< this juncture i called on Meaurs Sander and Sons, procuring some of tin ir Extract of Lhe Eucalyptus Globulus, and by the application of the same I hud the satisfaction of seeing my sou within i fortnight, out of all danger, and to-day, he is recovered. I may just add that it was when the crisis had been reached, that the extract referred to was first applied. I abstain from expressing my feeliugs towards Messrs Sander and Sons in this declaration, but anyone may imagine them better than 1 can describe them- in words. And I make this solemn declaration conscientiousy believing the same to be true, and by virtue ol the provisions of an Act of the Parliaineut ol Vie oria, rendering persons making a false declaration punishable for willul and corrupt perjury.—Fbanz Kaabe, Declared at (Sandhurst., in the Colony ot Victoria, this seventeenth day of October, one thousand eight hundred and serenty-seven, before me, Moritz Cohn, J.P.
