VITRIOL THEOWING IN PARIS.
Another fearful case of vitriol-thr^ing has just occurred in Paris. A couple, living in a house on the Boulevard Voltaire, have for some time past acquired au unenviable notoriety for frequent quarrels, the husband being inordinately jealous and furious. Late one evening, the disturbance being extra violent in character, the neighbours rushed into the room to find the man standing with an empty bottle in his hand, while another lay ou the floor, the wom_n, meanwhile, writhing on the bed in indescribable agony. It appears that after roundly abusing his wife, who was undressing, the fellow produced a bottle of vitriol, and threw it at her face, and then, regardless of her anguish, took out a second, and emptied it over her half-naked body. The unfortunate woman was immediately taken to the hospital in a desperate state, and the man arrested. She beara an excellent character, and gave her husband no pretence whatever for his diabolical conduct. .
