WHERE'S THE INSPECTOR OF NUISANCES?
(To the Editor of the Evening- Stab,} g lßj __l wonder if the Inspector has ever gone through Bolleston street ? for, if he has not, he bad better take a look up that way; at any rate, his nose _will direct him after passing the Globe Hotel towards Shortland. In what was once^an old hotel, some one. has established a Piggery and poultry house, and the stench arising fcherefrom is abominable, and passers by have to sheer off to the other side of the street to prevent being poisoned. I was told that the property is owned by Dr Kilgour, if so, perhap3 he js not aware of the .use jt is pi?fc to-, and ,the danger arising therefrom to the neighbourhood is apparent enough, and really ought to be seen into by the authorities. «— lam Ac, . , .
