Mrs Sampson's Mission.

Mrs Hampson and Mr Hemus conducted evening service at the Congregational Church last evening. Although the service did not commence before 6.30, the building was well filled about 5.30, and at the commencement of the service even the doorways were thronged, and several hundreds were unable to gain admission. Mr Hemus preached an excellent discourse from the Book of Proveabs, 27th chapter and 6th verse— "Boast not thyself of to-morrow, for thou knowest not what a day may bring forth." The discourse was a plain, practical one on the inadvisability of procrastination in all matters of life, and especially in religion. Mrs Hampson followed with a brief address, supplementing to the remarks of Mr Hemus. During the delivery thereof she was frequently visibly affected. A .meeting of enquirers after the truth was subsequently held, and was exceedingly well attended. This evening Mrs Hampson will attend the baptismal service at the Baptist Church, and to-morrow the soiree will be held.
