The Archbishop of Canterbury follows the scriptural injunction of going into the highways and hedges for his guests. He recently entertained 600 of the poorer people at Lambeth, aud sent each one of his visitors away with a bunch of beautiful flowers.
The other day ia an up-towu New York residence, a ring at the door was heard and the servant girl, calling to her mistress' said:—" Please, mum, go to the door, an' ef it's anybody for me, tell 'em I'm engaged."
