For some weeks past the manager, Mr S, Gribble, has been driving towards the Fearnaught portion of the mine for the purpose of prospecting. He lias recently passed through a slide 15 feet thick beyond which a nice looking lode 18 inches in thickness lias been intersected. This shows some nice dabs of gold. In consequence of the discovery enquiries hare been made for the shares, hitherto unsaleable, both yesterday and to-day. The Brokers quote them at Is 9d and 2s.
