In the Legislative Assembly last night, a Bill was introduced by Mr Graham Berry for the Reform of the Constitution, and was read a second time without a division. Mr Murray Smith then moved that a conference of the two Houses should be held, if possible to a compromise on the measure. Mr Berry objected to the proposal at the present time, and denounced it as unconstitutional and unprecedented. Sir John O'Shannessey, Mr Darid Gaunson, and Mr Prison, supported the motion, but thejdebate was finally adjourned to the next sitting. Successors of Mr Service. A caucus of Opposition members was held yesterday at which Mr Murray Smith and J. F. Francis were appointed joint leaders of the party in the Assembly. Adelaide, This day. Tliree hundred volunteers in this city have offered to proceed to the Transvaal for service against the Boers.
