The marriage of Prince^William of Prussia, eldest son of the Crowa Prince of Germany, with the Princess Augusta Victoria of Augustenberg, Prineess'of Schleswig-Holstein, was celebrated there to-day. Their Royal Highnesses the Prince of Wales and Duke of Edinburgh, uncles'of the bridegroom, were present at the ceremony, which was one of great brilliancy. Constantinople, February 26. Active negotiations are still proceeding here between the ambassadors of the powers and the Porte with a view to bring about an understanding between Turkey and Greece on the frontier question. London February 25. In the House of Commons to-day the Eight. Hon. M. E. Grant-Duff, UnderSecretary of State for the Colonies, in reply to a question said that the negotiations which have been proceeding betw.een the Cape forces and Basutos for a complete cessation of hostilities had failed ; at the same time Mr Grant-Duff stated that Government regretted the severity of terms of peace, which had been proposed by the Cape Government. In the House of Commons to-day the Irish Coercion Bill came under final consideration, and was read a third time and passed. Capetown, February 25. Telegrams are to hand to-day from Sir Geo. Colley announcing that he has commenced a parley with the leaders of the i3oer forces, with a view to an understanding being arrived at, and cessation of the war being brought about. J

Information has been received from the Orange Free States that the Volksradhas passed an address expressing sympathy with the Transvaal Boers, and hopes that England wiil comply with any reasonable demands which they may make. Capetown, February 26. Bevfs comes to hand from Natal that a report has reached there that the Boers made au attack on Wakkerstroom, and succeeded in capturing it, but were eventually j driven out, by the British troops, who are now aguiu iv occupation. The news requires confirmation.
