This day,
Mr Whitelaw, Supt. of the Asylum, has been relieved of his duties pending the completion of the enquiry into the management of that institution.
The Earn Fair at Carterton on Saturday was a great success. Purchasers were in excess of the quantity yarded, prices up to 10 guineas higher than was anticipated for stock were offered.
