AUCKLAND.
This day,
Edward Hunt Jagger, was charged at the Police Court with forging a promissory note, uttered io* the case of Purcell, the bankrupt, and remanded.
James Forrest Bell, station-master at Ohaupo, was charged at the Auckland court with embezzling £83 Government money and was remanded.
Mr Buchanan's dwelling house at Panmure has been burned.
