A PPLICATION has been made by WiLXX HAM NlCHOJtiSfor aLicense to construct a Water Race for Mining purposes at Waitete, Ohinemuri, commencing at a point at the falls at Waitete Creek and terminating at a ppg marked W, as shown on plan to bts lodged here within fourteen days. Tite length of such race is about, one mile and a half, and its intended course is about north and south. The mean depth and breadth of such race is eighteen inches by three feet; it is capable of carrying six sluice heads of water, and the number of sluice heads of water of forty inches each which it is proposed to appropriate is Bix. NOIICE is therefore givm, thai, on the 28th day of March, 1881, a License will be granted to the above-named William Nicholls for the said Water Race, unless valid objection thereto be in the meantime made in writing <tnd lodged at this Office not less than seven clear days before that ciate.
