Major Murray has received the following telegram : —" How many Volunteers will attend review at Te Awamutu ? Tents and cooking utensils will be provided. Necessary that return be sent prompt, so that arrangements may be made free pass on railway.—Wh. Jackson, Major." On receipt of the above, Major Murray at once called a meeting of officers for Monday next, at nine o'clock in the evening, to consider the matter and reply to Major Jackson.
