WAIHE.
There are now nine claims pegged off' on the Waitete.
Niccol and party are busily engaged in the upper tunnel getting out first class quartz. The stone, from its appearance, will go from 2ozs to 3ozs to the ton.
In the Dulcibel (Nicks and party) they are still cross-cutting the reef. The prospects are most encouraging. The dispute between Rowe and party, and Smythe and party having been settled by the amalgamation of all interests, they have decided to start work on Mouday.
Campbell and Hollis have pegged out 20 men's ground on the north-west of the prospectors, and Mr H. T. Howe is at present surveying the ground. Two other claims have been pegged off in the same direction.
On the south-east end of the reef three other claims have been pegged oft.
