Warden's Office, Grahamstown, 16th Pebruarv, 1881. A PPLTCATION has been made by Adam /"\ Pobteb for a license to construct a "Water Race for Mining purposes near Waitete, Ohinemuri, commencing at a point on a brunch of the said river, near tlie road to Matnora, and terminating at a point on the said river, as shown on plan to be lodged here within fourteen days. T!:e length of such race ia about one mile and a quarter, and its intended course is eouth-easr, and north-west;. The race will be capable of carrying eight sluies heads of water, and the number of sluice heads of forty inches each which it is proposed to appropriate is five. NOTICE is therefore given, that on the 18th day of March, 1881, a License will be granted to the above-named Adam Porter for the said Water Bace, unless valid objection thereto be in the meantime made in writing and lodged at this Office not less than seven i clear days before that date.
