A Tender Remembrance.—A teetotal lecturer was holding forth on the evils of intemperance in a school room in a colliery Tillage in the county of Durham, and just as a young man was pushing his way to the from in search of a seat, the orator held up his hand and said, " You know my brother " "Noa,--.-aa divvent knaa yor brother," replied the miner, " but aa knaa thoo, for thoo'smony a time called for the glasses an' left me to pay for them."—Newcastle Chronicle.
