' In-rt<» Himie of Commons this afternoon,'Mr Gladstone gave notice that he ■would propose that a majority of threefourths of the House oh motion of " urgency" should suffice to give the Speaker supreme control over the chamber, and give him immediate power to suppress the disorder. Mr Gladstone's proposal; is made in riewpt the disgraceful scenes which occurred last night.in the House during the -debate on the Irish Coercion Bill.
