Zealand. The following Exhibition awards to New Zealand exhibitors are announced to-day : —Messrs Anna and Wilson, of Dunedin, for specimen of English modern point lace; Messrs A. Moore and Co., of Ohristchurch, for wheat, &c.; Messrs Eojse, Stead and Co., of Christchuroh, for twelve samples of cereals. Second Prizes : Dr Hector, for geological maps ; Mrs McTavish, of the Thames, for specimens of needlework from New Zealand ; Messrs Frank, Marshall, and Copeland, of Dunedin, for malt and barley. Third Prizes : Board of Education, Napier, for school aparutus; Professor Yon Haast,

geographical report; Miss Jessie Logan, of Dunedin, for lace work ; Messrs J. and E. Paul of Marlborough, for barley; Messrs Thomas Surman and Co., o e Invercargill, for malt; Messrs J. Bycroft and- Co., of Auckland, for biscuit; Fourth Prizes: Walter Deverell, c Invercargill, for specimen of survey drafting ; Mr W. W. T. Spratt, of Wellington, for map of Otago ; Miss M. F. A. Jones, of Nelson, for point lace. Fifth Prizes: Mr Gerald Mueller, of Hokitika, for map of Westland; Mr Charles O'Neill, of Wellington, for plan of Wellington; and Mr I. Almao, of Dunedin, for hats. Hate of Interest Reduced. The Melbourne banks have reduced their rate of interest on deposits to 3 per cent. I • G-eelong Cup. j The Geelong Cup was run to-day, and I was won by Progress.
