The Auckland Regatta.
The following are the results of the sailing matches held on Saturday:—ln the race for Open Sailing Boats, prize £5, presented by H. ELohn, Esq., the Hattie was first and the Mayflower second. la the match for Trading Vessels (25 tons and under 50 tons), the first prize £15, with a cup valued at £10, was won by the Adah, a Thames-built boat. The second prize of £5, given by Mr McGregor of the Waitemata Hotel, fell to the Reward. The first prize for the Yacht Race—a cup valued at £15 15s, presented by P. H. Lewisson, Esq., and £5 in addditiori—was won by Jessie Logan. The Toy took the second prize (£3). The Scow Race, prize £20, was won by the Makarau; and the . second prize (£5) fell to the Pukapuka. The Open Sailing Race for first class boats was won by the Shrimp, with Magic second, Margaret third, and Mabel 4th. The bona fide fishing and trading boats' race wai won by the Swallow, with Hertha second and Flying Fish third. The race for trading vessels under 25 tons was won by Janet, Henry being second and Euphemia third. The sailing boat or yacht race was won by Daisy, Lizzie being 2nd. In the race for Second-class Open Sailing Boats, Medger was first, Imp second, and Observer 3rd. Olga was first, with Coy a close second, in the race for Open Sailing Boats (16 feet and under.) The race for Foreign-going Teasels' Gigs, four oars and coxswain, was won by Dunloe, with Lady.Jocelyn and Loch Urr second atid third respectively. The race for Coasting Vessels' Gigs fell to the Rotomahana, with the Glenelg second, and Argyle 3rd. The Dingies Jiace (under 12 feet overall) rowed by boys, was woa by Lotus, with Eva a close second.
