7000 Peruvians Killed.
Flight of the Peruvian Presi-
dent.
London, January 21.
News has been received from South America that the Chilians occupied the Peruvian capital of Lima on Monday last. Two sanguinary battles were fought between the two forces,- and it is said that 7000 Peruvians were killed. The Chilian loss is not stated. Owing to the defeat of his troops, and the occupation of the capital, Pierola, the president of Peru, has fled.
