Te Aroha Battery Company.
Tenders were received by the directors of the Te Aroha Battery Company for the erection of a ten stamper* battery at Morgautown. The tenders were opened by Messrs Eraser, Adams and Porter. The following are the amounts ; —Price Bros.,,eleven head (with concrete formation), £986; ten. head (without concrete foundation, £886." Judd, nine head, £650. Charles Tonge, £1197. A tender was expected from Messrs Fraser and Tinne, bub up to the time of opening the tenders it had not arrived. Mr Judd's tender, not being in accordance with specifica* tion, was;considered informal, but would be placed before the full meeting of directors. Messrs Fraser, Adams aud Porter will proceed to Te Aroha on Monday to lay the tenders before a full meeting of the directorate, and if the fundß are forthcoming, the lowest tender will be ?t onco accepted, and the erection of the battepy immediately proceeded wi%.
