A Committee was further appointed to prepare a memorial to the Home Government on the subject. A later memorial to the Home Government, which is to be prepared by a special committee appointed at to-day's sitting of the Intercolonial Conference, will make representations in favor of the reversal of the action of the Government in Western Australia iv originating a scheme for Chinese immigration, and a resolution was passed by the Conference, that the introduction of Chinese at the public expense in one colony is prejudicial to all the colonies.
