Sydney, Tuesday, THE CONFERENCE.

The Intercolonial Conference to-day adopted resolutious that a request shall be sent to the Imperial authorities that the number of vessels of the nary in Austra* lian waters be increased. The resolution of the Hon. W. Morgan, Chief Secretary for South Anstralia, in favour of an unifom tariff for the colonies, based on that of Nsw South Wales, was brought forward, but, at the instance of Mr Berry, its discussion was adjourned until the rest of the programme was disposed of. A scheme for the regulation of Chinese immigration was proposed by the Western Australian delegates, but no definite resolution on the subject was adopted.

Albany, Tuesday.

Arrived in King George's Sound the P. and O; Company's steamship Bohilla with the inward Suez mail dated London, December 17.

The following Exhibition awards are announced to-day:—Third prizes: Thomas J. Harbutt, of Auckland, for brushware ; Michael Sullivan, of Duuedin, for baskets ; fifth priz-; to Professor Parker, of the Otago Museum, for specimens of sea cray-fish, prepared in spirits ; also a fifth prize to A. Mervin, of JDunediu.
