This day.

The' schooner Myrtle, just .arrived, brings news of the wreck at Tonga of the brigantine Active. The vessel drifted at Samoa in a calm and became a total wreck. The passengers, .crew, and original cargo from Auckland are all saved. The wreck: was sold to Sorenson for £30. The Active was owned by Lane and Brown of Whangaroa, and McArthur & Co. of Auckland. She is insured in the New Zealand for £750 and Union for £350.
