Naval Brigade Prize Firing.

The Navals competed for Mrs Quint's prize at Parawai on Saturday, the ranges being 200, v 300, 400, and 500 yards ; 5 shots at each range. The following are some of the principal scores :—

At a meeting of the Brigade, held on the 10th instant, ifc was resolved to send seven members to compete at the .Nelson Rifle Association Meeting, the representatives to be chosen by an aggregate of two competitions of 28 shots each, at 200, 300, 400, and 500 yards : first competiticix to take place on the 17th, and second on the 24th instants. The Navals fired at the range this morning the first match of the competition. The following are the top scores :—
