His Excellency tiie Governor proceeded to Kawau on a visit to Sir George Grey to-day.
It is reported that Grey will make a trump card next session of the Pateteie land question, and will address meetings throughout the coloDy prior to next session.
Tawhiao, the Maori King, recently held a meeting and appointed deputies to preserve the peace. He orders that McLean and Tole are not to be disposed at Horahora. McLean was disposed to resist any attempt to expel him from his land. .
