Specimens of Caswell Sound Marble oan be seen at any of the Museums in New Zealand ; the Chamber of Commerce, Wellington, or on application to any of the Officers of the Company. In introducing this eligible investment to the notice of the public, the promoters desire lo state th»t the Company's rights comprise the best, most available, extensive, find perhaps most valuable Marble deposits in the known world, at all events in the Southern Hemisphere. This ia sufficiently proved by Caswell Sound Marble securing the first prize at the late Sydney Exhibition against Italian Statunry and other valuable varieties. They also wish to dwell upon its known certainty and non-speculative character, the ultimate success of thii venture being now well established. The lowest quotation for this Marble is 12s per foot, and ranges up to £5. Larger blocks are, however, muoh more valuable, some pure White Statuary, without flaws, realieing as mucb aj £20,000 sterling in Europe. The ordinary price for a block suitable for a life size human statue being about £1000, The present cost of producing this Mnrble by manual labour only is about 2s per cubic foot, f. o. b. These figures may appear incredible, but they are nevertheless /absolutely correct. Thus, taking the cost of production ns stated and the very lowest wholesale quotations at 12s per foot, gives the apparently fabulous minimum rate of 500 per . cent, profit. It ie, therefore, no visionary matter, aa these are leading commercial lines and the values well known: the facilities of production, shipmc.-.t, high quality of produot, giving a vast advantage over any like property in the world. We will abo venture to predict that the value of the Company's shares will increase at least 300 per cant, within twelve months.of issue. Referring to consumption of these commfSities, it ifl also enormous. The consumption of Marble, Portland Cement and Lime, in the Australian Colonies alone during the last twelve months hus been £2.872,600 sterling, and is rapidly iticreat-ing. Oaswell Sound is a commodious mil safeharbjr fo- the Lugest vessels in all weathers, ...the works of the Company being .situated'at.-the water's edge. The Government of this co'ony has also promised to favorably consider special grants and concessions in-ttid as soon as the Company is successfully floated For further particulars re other minerals found at the Sound, copper, coal, gold, &c, also the manufacture of hydraulic cement, lime, &c , together with ■-. ecient.fi?, professional, Government, and other reports, wi h details of the objects and intentions of the Company, we refer to the de« tailed Prospectus, which can he obtained upon application to any of the officers of the Company's.Agents, the Bank of New Zealand, nt any of their branches in this coleny and Australia/ or from any of the Company's Brokers, through -whom all applications for Shares must be made before the 31st January, 188.1.
