ALBURNIA.

The manager reports as follows : - " Sons of Freedom Tunnel: On the 23rd June reef stoping ia still being carried on, but although sometimes get tin c rich stone, the quantity is not equal to that procured in the first opening of the stope. Stoping is also being carried on on the Sons of Freedom, where we obtain a large quantity of crushing dirt. but.of rather a low grade. 160 feet level: Driving has still been carried on on Dixon's reef, but there is no change to mention. The Intermediate Level, east and west, is now being pushed forward, within (he last few days we cut the banging wall leader in the western drive, and although we see a few colors of gold it will be necessary to drive some 20 or 30 feet before we can speak as to its value, as it was that distance from the junction in the upper level before we came upon any gold worth mentioning. A new stope has also been opened out after the Eastern drive where we see a few colors of gold, this place ought to prove remunerative, as in the block above we always obtained good payable crushing dirt. Hanging Wall Leader: Driving still going on. The leader is well charged with good minerals, and showing colors of gold bufc no specimens. Stoping has been carried on here and on the Sons of freedom, where we obtained some sppcimens and good crushing dirt. The old slopes still yielding a good supply of crushing dirfc, but the quality is not as good as it has been recently.—Thomas Radford.
