At the Supreme Court to-day* the Judge refused to allow costs to the lessee of the Albert Perk, who took out an/injunction against the corporation to restrain Cole's Circus from performing on the Albert Reserve.

At the fortieth half-yearly meeting of the New Zealand Insurance Company to day, the Director's report for the half year ended Nov. 30, 1880, chowed that, after making provision for all ascertained losses to date, and carrying £10,000 to the reserve fund, which with the reinsurance fund cow stands at £150,009, there remaiffs a sum of £21,797 2s 3d for division, which the Directors propose be appropriated as follows :—Dividend at the rate of 15 per cent, per annum, £15,000; balance, £6,797. There is no sign of the mail steamer. Mr C. O. Montrose has concluded negotiations for the purchase of the Waikato Mail, published at Cambridge.
