The racehorses Sportsman, Lone Hand, Hilda, Lara, Paramena, Eewi, and Florence were withdrawn at the sale dayProfessor Swallow's Bankruptcy.
In the case of Professor Swallow's bankruptcy Hoffman, the music seller, was obliged to surrender to the trustee a valuable harp, bought from him but never paid for.
A warrant was issued to-day for the arrest of John Burcell, a bankrupt contractor, who is suspected of intentions of levanting.
The Eev J. McNicol left for Dunedin to-day, to represent the Auckland Presbytery at the Otago Synod, with the special object of advocating the amalga" mation of the Genera), Assembly of the Northern Presbyterian Church with the Otago Synod.
