The City of New York with the London mails of the 2nd December left 'Frisco for Auckland on tho 21st December, being one day later than the time table sailing date. The Zealandia with the December colonial mails arrived at San Francisco on the 28th ultimo, two days in advance of contract date. A f§RS£nce has arisen between the local steamer Huia and her ;Wame£; and firemen of the that theirxfrmaiirtfe^'requiring limitation of working hours in port and payment for overtime, be acceded to. The agent refused, and the seamen left in a body. The steamer is* now detained, but it is probable that a new crew will-be shipped to-day and the steamer got away.
