The following further soratchings for the Champion Stakes have been posted :— Rapid Bay, First Waters, Moonbeam, Rothschilds, Monaco, and Totalisator. It is expected that Grand Flaneur, Progress, Sweetmeat, and Wellington will be the only starters.

The following horses have been scratched for the Champion Stakes, to be run on New Year's day .—Albatra, Anaford, CChip,e p, Mata.
In the Intercolonial cricket match, Victoria versus New South Wales, the former won the match by two wickets. v Adelaide, Wednesday. Arrived! I&e Orient Company's steamer Garonne, from Plymouth.
