Correspondence.
(To the Editor of the Erasure 8MB.) Sir,—Will you please oorreet a mistake ' which oceurred in th*s report of my Tuesday night's lecture given in vote kit night's issue. The report makes ji* sty .'V what I do not beliefe—neniely, that '-y Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob art bow in P? Heaven. In answer to a qnettion^relating : * to what Chmi said to tbe S*dduceea, I J j f made mention of the faet, that Our £6j&||M made this quotation frpm Motet to prol^^P the resurrection of the dead, and ! tnrl^Ji] principle which we must recognise ia thtt.^^|fe Qod speaks of things that are not as -it-ira they were. Christ did not by itUji^fl language mean to teaeh that Abrahiil^ -V; 4fce.» was then alive, but that he —tt-lit^k'--'
raised from the dead in order to hare this statement in the Book of Moses come true concerning these Jewish fathers. Again, the report • makes me say that every man has two houses or bodies—one on earth and the other in Heaven, —and that at death the soul leaves this house or body in order to occupy the house or body which is in Heaven. This J t do not believe, neither did I teach it in my lecture nor in my answers to questions. I most firmly believe that future life is predicated upon a resurrection from the dead, and that if the dead rise not then they who have fallen asleep in Christ are perished.—l am, &c, G. A. Bbown.
