THE Evening Star. PUBLISHED DAILY AT FOUR O'CLOCK P.M. Resurrexi. WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 22, 1880.
Fboh our cablegrams we have discomforting news from the /Transvaal. The Boers, who are celebrated for their repugnance to everything English, have risen in rebellion, and the " little war" with the Zulus will probably be followed by a war between the English and Dutch settlers in the Transvaal. Let us hope, however, that an amicable arrangement will be made, and that no more precious blood may be spent in a colony where everyone should live in unity and peace.
