Naval Brigade Prize Firing.

'. The usual quarterly competition for the Darling Cup took place on the native range, Parawai, on Saturday. During the day the wind w|| from the right, strong gusts blowing, out, notwithstanding the unfavourable weather, some good scores were made. The final competition for Mr Osborne's prize and Mrs Quint's prize for tke second competition took place at the same time. As will be seen, by the scores appended, Seaman John Cameron carries off the Darling Cop and Mr Osborne's prize, also Mrs Quint's Size. This is the third time he has won rs Quint's prize, and should he succeed in winning it once more it will become his own. For second olass shots the prize was a pair of boots, presented by Mr Charles Fagan, of Mary street, which was won by Seaman J. Floyd. The ranges were 200, 400, and SCO yards ; five shots at each range. The following are some of the principal scores:—

It will be seen from the above scores that Seaman Cameron's aggregate is 121 oat of « possible 140, or 16 orer centres, which, considering the weather, ia. one othe best aggregates made in this district.
