Copies of Prospectus and Forms of Applition for Snares can be obtained from the Broken, Provisional Director!, or from any of the Branches of the Bank of New Zealand in this Colony, until the 15th day of December, 1880, at which date all applications must be in the hands of the Broken, when the lists will positively be dosed and shares allotted. Specimens of Caswell Sound Marble eaa be seen at any of the Museums in New Zealand | the Chamber of Commerce, Wellington; or on application to any of the Ofieers of the Company. In introducing this eligible investment te the notioe of the publio, the promoters desire to state tbat the Company's rights comprise the best, most available, extensive, and perhaps most valuable, Marble deposits in the known world, at all events in the Southern Hemisphere. This if sufficiency proved by Oatwell Sound Marble seooring the first prise at the late Sydney Exhibition against Italian Statuary and other valuable varieties. .They also wish to dwell upon its known certainty and non-ipeoulative character, the ultimate success of this venture. being now well established. The lowest quotation for this Marble is 12s per foot, and. ranges up to £6. Large blocks are, however, much more valuable, some pure White Statuary, without flaws, realising as much as £20,000 Sterlihf in Europe. The ordinary prioe for a block suitable for a life size human statue being about £1000. The present cost of producing this Marble by manual labor only is about 8s per cubic foot, fob. These figures tiay ■ appear incredible, but they are nevertheless absolutely correot. Thus, taking the oosfc of production as stated and the very lowest wholesale quotation at 12s per foot, gives the , apparently fabulous minimum rate of 600 per cent, profit. It is, therefore, no visionary matter, as these are leading commercial lines and the values well known, the facilities of production, shipment, high quality of product,' giving a vast advantage over any like property in the weld. We will also venture to - predict that the value of the Company's shares will increase at least 300 per cent., within twelve months of issue. Befernng to consumption of these commodities it is also enormous. The consumption of Marble, Portland Cement, and Lime, in the Austra? lian Colonies alone during the last twelve - ' months has been £2,872,600 sterling,'aid rapidly increasing. Caswell Sound is a com* modious and safe harbor for the largest vessels in all weathers, the works ef the Company being situated at the water's edge. The Government of this Colony has also pro-' mited to favorably consider special grants end concession* in aid as soon as the Company ia ,/, successfully floated. For further particulars * re other minerals found at the Bound; copper, coal, gold, &e., also the manufacture of hydraulic cement, lime, Ac., together with, scientific, professional, Government,, and other reports, sith details of the obieets and intentions of the Company, we refer to the Prospectus, which can be obtained upon application to any of the officers of the Company or from Company's Agents, the Bank of Sew ZoaUnd, Dunedin, at any of their branches in this Colony and Australia.
