The show in this claim is considered one of the best here, and a quarter share is said to hare changed hands for the ram of £20. In the Frospeetors a decided change for the better has taken place in the class of country, and it is now rery farorable for the existence of auriferous quartz. A winze will shortly be started on the leader, and more stone will be forwarded to the mill. The directors hare instructed Messrs Porter and Vaughan to proceed with the work vigorously. In the Te Aroha No. 1 south the ground is farorable for rapid driring. A small lot of rich specimens hare been discorered on the surface in the Smile of Fortune Company's ground. A drire is being put in to pick up the Morning Star lode. , Good prospects continue to be met with in the Morning Star. Natires are busy prospecting at Wai* harakiki. Mr Leydon intends building a large auction mart and store here, and Mr Comes is erecting a lirery stable on the other side of the rirer, which will be a great conrenienoe to horsemen from the Waikato.
