This day. 'i A' house occupied by E. W. Millet was burnt down last night during the absence of the occupants. The furniture was un« insured, but the buildiug was insured for £100 in the National Office. A grocery store and contents, the property of Mr Carson was also destroyed. The stock was uninsured, but this building was insured for £300 in the Victoria Company. The furniture, and £100 in cash, which was in the store was also destroyed.
