Thursday. Mr WilliamvClarke, who floated the South Pacific Petroleum Oil Company, is at present negotiating with Mr Matthews of the East Coast, and has succeeded in obtaining the consent and signature of a large number of the native- owners to a deed of conveyance of a portion of the Rotorautuku Block to him for oil boring purposes. j ■ The Lochuager has been mored 200 feet seaward. If tide and wind continue favorable she will soon be afloat. This day. The Lochnager was successfully floated last evening, and is now anchored in the bay.
