Copien of PrOßpeotup and Forms of Applitton for Shares can be obtained from the Broker*, Provit-ionul Director*, or from any of the Brtnct-es of the Birk of New Zealand in this Colony, until the 15th day of December, 1880, at which da'e all appiicatAns must be in the hands of the Brokers, when the lists will positively be doted and shares allotted. Specimens of Caewll Sound Marble can be; seen at any of the Museums in New Zealand the Cb&nW of Commerce, Wellington ; or on application to any of the Officers of the Company. 1 In introducing this eligible investment to the notice of the public, the promoters desire to state that the Company's rights comprise the best, most available, extensive, and perhaps most valuable, Marble deposits in the known world, at all events in the Southern Hemisphere. This is sufficienty proved by Cat* ! well Sound Marble securing the first prize at the late Sydney Exhibition against Italian Statuary and other valuable varieties. They also wish to dwell upon its known certainty and non«spe<?ulative character, the ultimate success of this venture being now well established. The lowest quotation for this Marble is 12s per foot, and ranges up to £5. Large blookß are, however, much more valuable, some pure White Statuary, without flaws, realising as much as £20,000 sterling in Europe. The ordinary price for a bloejt suitable for a life size human statue being about £1000. The present cost of producing this Mirble by manual labor only is about 2s per cubic foot, fob. These figures may appear incredible, but'they are nevertheless absolutely correct. Tbui, taking the cost of production a* stated and the very lowest wholesale quotation at 12a per foot, gives the apparently fabulous Minimum rate of 500 per cent, profit; It is, therefore, no visionary matter, as these are leading commercial lines and the values well known, the facilities of production, shipment, high quality of product, giving a vast advantage over any like property in the wold. We will also venture io predict that the value of the Company's shares will increate at lost 300 per cent within twelve months of issue. Referring to consumption of these com modities it is al«o enormous.' The consumption of Marble, Portland Cement, and Lime, in the Australian Colonies alone dv ing the last twelve months bus been £2,872,600 sterling, and rapidly increasing. Caswell Sound is a commodious and safe harbor for the largest vtssels in all weathers, tbe works of the Company being situated at the water's edge. The Government of this Colony has &ho promised 't> favorably consider rpecial grants nnd conoe§*ions in aid »s rpon as the Company.is, tucofsefully floated. For further particulars re other minerals found at the Mousd, copper, coal, gold, 4c, al»o the manufacture of hydraulic cement, lime, &0., together with scientific, prol"e«sion»l, Government, and other reports, ith detai's of the obiecta and intentions of tbe Company, we refer to the Prospectus, which can be obtained upon application to any of the officers of the Company or from Company's Agents, the Bank of New Zealand, Dunedin, at any of their brunches in this Colony and Australia.
