Fevers which so quickly fasten on the debilitated system may easily BE xm AWAY by the timely use of this «gr MOST WONDERFUL REMEDY «» In fact, by its use the Most Malignant of Tropical Fevers hats been bjbctbd from the Human System, and by its aid Dying, Fever-stricken Men have " been, as it were, RAISED FROM THE DEAD 1 As is shown from the following interesting TALE OF THE PACIFIC! A TALE OF THE PACIFIC. Wm. Opperman, Esq., a wealthy island trader, was for fome months lying ill at Happemamma, an island of the Kugsm Group, in the Pacific. He had been seised with rheumatic fever, which was followed by complicated diiorders of a terribly severe nature, assuming the form of a species of palsy never before known. The sufferer's limbs swelled, the legs lost all sensibility to pain } the foot covld be wrenched reund or the skin pierced with a lance without in dieting the slightest suffering. The sick man was evidently unconscious of his having legs, and his brain was seriously affected as if with lunacy. In this deplorable state he was kindly brought from the islands to Auek land by Mr H. Henderson in theaohooner Coronet, Captain Moeller, and, being a German, he was received by the German Consul, G. Ton der Heyde, Esq., and placed in the District Hospital, where hereoeived treatment for three weeks with no indication of improvement, his case being pronounced by one and all a hopeless; one. The captain of the Coronet, knowing that extraordinary cures had been effected by the use of Hitchens' Celebrated Blood Restorer requested the proprietor of the Blood Restorer to take the case in hand, and a contract was entered into of "No cure, no pay."' Mr Hitchens proceeded to the Hospital, ex* amined the invalid and found him in an apparently dying state, with scarcely a spark of life * left. Mr Hitohens ordered the suffering man to be. re* moved to his (Mr H*s) private residence, where his wants could be personally attended to by Mr Hitchens. The latter administered the medicine (the Blood Restorer) and used the ointment freely. Meanwhile clergymen called, pronouncing the case beyond the power of man to effect a cure. However after six weeks the effect of the medicine became wonderfully apparent. The Blood Restorer had acted steadily bat surely en the blood; the deadly impurities were gradually eliminated from the system until the stream of life flowed unchecked in its natural channels over the entire man. The brain became clear and active, and the limbs once again rejoiced in natural circulation, the patient rising to his feet cured of diseases which had baffled the skill of leading physicians,, a living proof of the wonderful ■ healing powers of Hitohens' Celebrated Blood Restorer. • TESTIMONIAL. 1 Auckland, N.Z. To H. A. H. Hitchens, Esq. cx^ Before leaving Auckland on my return voyage to the Islands, I have to perform the pleasing duty of acknowledging the surprising cure I have received at your hands. Coming to Auckland as I did a dying man, being palsied and generally unoonscious, and hearing from others that no hope of recovery was held oat by medical men, I look upon you now as the preserver of my life. I am convinced that to your medicine alone is due the credit for my now being; a living man. I beg to thank yon most sincerely for the" kindness you have shewn me while staying;in your house,'and in conclusion would earnestly recommend sick people to nee your Blood Restorer, as it is the moat extraordinary purifier of the blood I ever heard of, or met with in my travels. It is one of the many good gifts of a beneficent Creator to his suffering children on this earth. W. OPPBBMAN. Auckland, December 19,1879. Signed in the presence of , G. Tow sn Heyde, Imperial Germaa Consul. Agent for the Thames— GEORGE DBNBY, Bbowv Sxrar, GRAHAMSTOWN. 81
