Correspondence.
(To the Editor of the Evnmra Stab.)
Bih,—Touching that effusive panegyrio in rhyme in yesterday's 'Tiseron the new Mayor, I would suggest to the "chief where justice reigns supreme" that he I should print it in the same Style as his i election cards and have it carefully framed, and present a copy to his Council, as it contains a lot of newt of an interesting character. As a companion to the letter , press I also suggest this illustrious '■ " Saxon " should sit for his portrait to the great artist (P) Simon, whose Chinese* cum-Japanese-tea-tray style is admirably adapted to the sitter, its flatness would reduce the great one's slight rotundity to . a vanishing point, while the artist!^ original idea of perspective would possibly*^ increase his attitude (on canvas). It would indeed be a pretty picture.—Tours, Ac, . Qmz. ■;
